Get in Shape at our Premier Workout Facilities

Health Fitness offers programs that extend beyond the scope of traditional exercise clubs. Our mission is to help you become healthier. Becoming a Health Fitness member gives you unlimited access to the gym and pool. You also can participant in most land and water classes at no extra cost. You also can get help from professional fitness specialists and trainers, fitness assessments and personalized fitness "prescriptions."

Our 26,000 square-foot facility includes:

  • A large gym
  • Warm- and cool-water therapeutic pools
  • Several exercise rooms
  • Suspended, multi-lane indoor track
  • Locker rooms, showers, vanities, and other amenities that are family and disabled-accessible

Specialty Fitness Programs

A Matter of Balance

This 8-week program that helps older adults reduce their fear of falling and increase activity levels. Participants learn to:

  • View falls as controllable
  • Set goals for increasing activity
  • Make changes to reduce fall risks at home
  • Exercise to increase strength and balance
ABLE – A Better Life Every Day

This program is for people who have difficulty reaching or maintaining a healthy weight. Participants:

  • Meet with fitness specialists to create personalized exercise plans
  • Get exercise booklets with cardiovascular and resistance exercises every week
  • Have medical fitness checkups every three months to track progress
Arthritis Aquatics

Doing gentle exercises in our 92-degree therapy pool helps:

  • Reduce pain and muscle tension
  • Restore flexibility
  • Maintain normal joint movement
Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase III

Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase III helps improve strength, endurance, and wellness in people who have cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Participants who have completed Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Phase II exercise independently in the Wellness Gym at specific times while being monitored by fitness specialists. Heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation are checked before, during and after exercise. A physician’s referral is required.

Delay the Disease

Delay the Disease is a supervised exercise program for people with Parkinson's disease. Specific exercises, weight training and activity may delay physical symptoms of the disease. The program consists of a fitness specialist leading stretching and exercising for one hour. Staff will make changes in your workouts based on your improvement and limitations.

FAME – Fitness & Mobility Exercise

FAME helps improve strength, balance and cognition losses that result from having a stroke. Participating in supervised exercise also helps improve lung function and cardiac health to reduce the risk of another stroke or heart disease.

Moving Through Survivorship

Under the guidance of fitness specialists, participants exercise in small groups, focusing on range of motion, and cardiovascular and strength training. Being active during and after cancer treatment can:

  • Improve mood
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Reduce depression
  • Reduce tiredness
  • Reduce treatment side effects
Walk with Ease

Walk with Ease is an evidence-based program proven to help people with arthritis or other related conditions reduce pain, increase balance, strength and walking pace, and improve overall health.

Pilates Reformer

The Pilates Reformer is unlike other exercise equipment. Class participants can perform hundreds of exercises with springs and ropes on a movable carriage. Reformers work muscle groups through smooth, continuous motions that strengthen and stabilize the body's core and help develop a balanced musculoskeletal system. There is a fee for this class. Nonmembers may participate.

Universal Fitness

Get ready for fitness success in Burlington!

Get an amazing workout experience with our wide variety of equipment and certified staff. Universal Fitness is geared toward your success. Work out on our own or choose individual or group personal training. Begin or end your experience with a nutritious smoothie from our Smoothie Bar. You don’t have to be a member to get this benefit!
