Signing up for the patient portal

If you provided your email address to Great River Health during patient registration, you may self-enroll by clicking here: https://bit.ly/PortalEnroll.

Otherwise, you may sign up for a patient portal in person at any Great River Health clinic or with our Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services, or Patient Access teams.

Once you have successfully signed up online, download the patient portal app, HealtheLife, on iOS or Android for even more convenient access.

Why sign up for the patient portal?

Your patient portal provides you with online access to:

  • Lab results
  • Medications list, allergies, immunizations, problems, and procedures
  • Viewing, scheduling, requesting, canceling, or rescheduling appointments
  • Sending and receiving secure messages to your health care team
  • Requesting prescription renewals or medication refills
  • Viewing clinical summaries of your visits
  • Viewing radiology, pathology, and microbiology reports
  • Requesting edits to your medical record via clipboard forms
  • Completing previsit or e-Visit questionnaires
  • Participating in a video visit with your care team

Your patient portal also provides you with the following benefits:

  • Providing access to personal health information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Empowering you to engage more with your own care
  • Providing you with timely access to your results
  • Enabling electronic access to discharge information
  • Ability to set up proxy accounts for your family members

Not all health information will be present in your patient portal. To get specific information from your medical records, contact your provider or our Health Information Management team. Please note that mental health records are not available in the portal.
