Infectious Diseases

Many common infections can be treated by primary care providers. Patients may be referred to an infectious disease specialist if the infection is difficult to diagnose or does not respond to treatment.

Patients don’t need a referral for:

  • HIV and AIDS treatment
  • Sexually transmitted disease treatment

Becoming a patient
