Doak Named Employee Of The Month

Amy Doak was named Employee of the Month at Great River Medical Center. She is a durable medical equipment specialist at Heritage Medical Equipment & Supplies.

Doak’s nomination:

“My father-in-law recently broke his ankle and needed a shower chair. My sister-in-law called the Special Needs Foundation to see if they had any (my father-in-law is retired and on a fixed income). They did not have any chairs available at that time.

“My sister-in-law and I decided we would buy one for him at Heritage Medical Equipment & Supplies. Amy went above and beyond to help us. She called the Special Needs Foundation and worked it out with them to purchase the chair for my father-in-law to use. When he is done using it, we will return it to the Special Needs Foundation. This was a huge help for him.

“I am sure to Amy that this was just a simple, everyday task to help a customer. But to my father-in-law, it meant so much more than that. Our family appreciates what Amy did for him.”
