HCHC welcomes Chasity Lange, MSN RN as the Program Director, Christopher Betsworth, LISW as Program Therapist, and Jessica Lanman, CNA who will serve as Office Patient Coordinator.

Senior Life Solutions, an intensive outpatient group therapy program, is designed to meet the unique needs of seniors struggling with age-related depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, a recent health diagnosis, or the loss of a loved one. As Program Director, Lange is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of program staff to ensure quality patient care, and providing community education to create awareness of the program. Betsworth, Program Therapist, will provide therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions.  He will focus on quality patient care and provision of services ordered by a physician. As Office Patient Coordinator, Lanman is responsible for providing quality administrative and clerical services for the program staff and assisting Senior Life Solutions’ patients with care needs.

Lange started out her work in the field of mental health at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant in 2003 where she remained until its closure in 2015.  She attended Southeastern Community College and completed her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2016.  Lange worked as a nurse at Great River Medical Center in the Behavioral Health Department. She also worked at Henry County Health Center as a nurse in the Inpatient Services Department and then as a House Supervisor.  She attended Western Governors University while working full time, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management.

Lange said, “I have been privileged to work in the field of mental health and wellness for over 15 years and to serve as a nurse at HCHC for four years.  I am excited to be a part of bringing this much needed program and service to our area.”

Betsworth earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Iowa in 2010 and went on to earn his Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa’s School of Social Work in 2015. He has worked in supportive community living, substance abuse treatment, and most recently community mental health where he provided therapy, conducted risk assessments, and supervised therapists, nurses and support staff.

Betsworth said, “I am excited to continue serving the residents of southeast Iowa in this new capacity.”

Lanman obtained her CNA certification at Southeastern Community College in 2009. She has worked with a diverse population with a focus on older adults.  Her experiences include working at Regional Home Health Care helping seniors in their homes, The Madison long term care center, Sunnybrook Assisted Living specifically in the memory care garden, and most recently Henry County Health Center Inpatient Services Department for the past five years. Lanman’s career has always been providing care to senior adults, persons with disabilities, and dementia.

Lanman said, “I have been in the healthcare field now for over 11 years. I have worked with a variety of patients of all ages, specifically older adults. I am extremely excited to be a part of this highly needed program coming to our community and a part of the amazing team joining me. We are going to be able to provide an amazing service!”
