Pack the Gym in Pink Benefiting Great River Hospice Set For Feb. 12

The Sixth Annual Pack the Gym in Pink, a Southeastern Community College men’s basketball game fundraiser, is scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at SCC’s Loren Walker Arena, 1500 W. Agency Rd., West Burlington. Proceeds from the event will support Great River Hospice.

Tickets to the game against Illinois Central College are free. They are available at the SCC Athletic Office and Great River Hospice House, 1306 S. Washington Rd., West Burlington.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink, and the Blackhawks will wear pink jerseys. Pack the Gym in Pink T-shirts, which can be purchased at ticket locations, are $10 (small to extra-large) and $15 (2X and 3X).

There will be a live cake auction at halftime. A silent auction of Valentine-themed gift baskets will be online from Wednesday, Feb. 5, until 11 a.m. Feb. 12. Visit www.thehawkeye.com/packitinpink. Baskets will be in the arena for continuing bids from noon Feb. 12 through halftime. Winners will be announced at the game.
