Great River Health Director of Rehabilitation Services Jeffrey Taeger
has recently received a Patriot Award for his efforts in supporting an
employee who serves in the Army Reserve. The award was given by the Iowa
chapter of Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve.
Taeger was nominated by Maj. Craig Murphy, a Great River Health
physical therapist. Murphy participated in the presentation through an
app his wife, Esther, center, and family use to communicate.
Patriot Awards are given to supervisors for their support of employees’
service in the National Guard or Reserve through measures including flexible
schedules, time off before and after deployment, caring for families and
granting leaves of absence, if needed.
