National Expert to Lead Programs on Youth Drug and Alcohol Culture

An expert in drug and alcohol trends will present free programs in early March for parents and professionals who work with youth. Both programs are called High in Plain Sight: You Can’t Stop What You Don’t Know.

The parent presentation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the Blackhawk Room in Great River Health’ Wellness Plaza, 1401 W. Agency Road, West Burlington.

A professional workshop is offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, in the Blackhawk Room. Continuing-education credit is available for nurses.

Idaho law-enforcement officer Jermaine Galloway will discuss alcohol and drug indicators of at-risk youth, how drugs and alcohol are concealed, and logos and terms for substances.
