An expert in drug and alcohol trends will present free programs in early
March for parents and professionals who work with youth. Both programs
are called High in Plain Sight: You Can’t Stop What You Don’t Know.
The parent presentation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the
Blackhawk Room in Great River Health’ Wellness Plaza, 1401
W. Agency Road, West Burlington.
A professional workshop is offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March
7, in the Blackhawk Room. Continuing-education credit is available for nurses.
Idaho law-enforcement officer Jermaine Galloway will discuss alcohol and
drug indicators of at-risk youth, how drugs and alcohol are concealed,
and logos and terms for substances.
High in Plain Sight: You Can’t Stop What You Don’t Know is
